In this article, we will discuss Power and Control killers- A power and control killer enjoys watching the suffering, pain, and terror of their victims.
This type of killer is normally an organized one and is often a victim of some type of child abuse that may have left them feeling inadequate and powerless.
The majority of the time they sexually abuse their victims although their actions are not based solely on sexual gratification the abuse and or rape is used to dominate the victim giving the offender another type of gratification.
An infamous example of a power and control killer is Ted Bundy (November 24, 1946 – January 24, 1989).
He was arrested in 1978, after having murdered at least 30 women. He would kidnap and sexually assault his victims before brutally murdering them. In 1989, he was put to death by way of the electric chair. Another great example of a power and control killer is Lawrence Sigmund Bittaker (September 27, 1940 – December 13, 2019) and Roy Lewis Norris (February 5, 1948 – February 24, 2020), together were both known as the Tool Box Killers, together they kidnapped, raped, tortured, and killed five teenage girls Bittaker was sentenced to death for five murders on March 24, 1981, but died of natural causes while incarcerated on death row.
